An Unexpected Link to Your Destiny

HI TO ALL HAVE NOT POSTED IN A WHILE BUT THIS READ HIT HOME TO ME HOPE YOU FIND IT AS EYE OPENING AS IT WAS TO ME.

Posted by Joel Osteen on 2/1/2013

One summer while we were on vacation, I asked the hotel bellman for directions to a certain church in the area that we had heard about and wanted to visit that morning. The bellman was a young man in his early teens, happy-go-lucky, working the weekend shift, and probably not making much more than minimum wage. He said, “The church you want to go to is way too far from here. You’ll never get there in time, but there is another church about ten minutes down the road. I think you’ll really like it.”

I could have thought, “How does he know what I’m going to like? I’m the pastor of a big church. I know what kind of church I’m going to like.” But no, we took his suggestion and went to the other church down the road. We ended up meeting the pastor and developing a friendship. It was a divine connection. That pastor introduced me to a publisher that he knew who offered me a contract to write my first book. I wrote that book, and it thrust me into a new level of my destiny. It all started back with that young man at the hotel, parking cars and taking care of the luggage. Yet, it was his input that catapulted me further than I ever imagined.

Friend, you never know who God has ordained to influence your life. Treat every person you encounter with respect no matter how busy you are. Sometimes, it’s easy to dismiss people, especially people that we think we’ll never see again. We think, “They aren’t that important in my life.” “He’s just parking cars.” “She’s just answering the phone.” Or, we get prideful and think we are more important, “I’m in management. They’re in maintenance.” “I’m staying at the hotel. They’re just working at the hotel.” No, the very ones that we dismiss, the ones we think, “Don’t bother me. I’m busy,” could be the unexpected link that causes you to step into the fullness of your destiny. Don’t write people off. Don’t judge by the outside and think, “Oh, they don’t have anything for me.” No, you’ll be amazed at who God will use. Stay open. Stay expecting because God can use anybody—even you and me!

LOVE 1 CORINTHIANS 13

Hi to all have you ever sat and wondered why our humans in this world is the way they are?  I have sat and thought about what is happening in our world around us and even in my own country and my Bible showed me why!  They have forgotten the one word that God had given to us and all the others feelings that goes with it.  LOVE

The Bible shows us what we must do and this is the one reading that I have always found the most touching in the readings:

IF I SPEAK IN THE TONGEUS OF MEN AND OF ANGELS, BUT HAVE NOT LOVE,  I AM ONLY SPEAKING AND THE WORDS WILL NOT TOUCH THE HEARTS OF ANY MAN.

IF I HAVE THE GIFT OF PROPHECY AND ALL KNOWLEDGE AND FAITH TO MOVE MOUNTAINS, BUT HAVE NOT LOVE, I AM NOTHING.

IF I GIVE ALL I POSSESS TO THE POOR AND SURRENDER MY BODY TO THE FLAMES, BUT HAVE NOT LOVE, I GAIN NOTHING.

LOVE is patient

LOVE is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

LOVE does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

LOVE never fails.

Three things remain:  FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE.

BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE.

We as humans have forgotten to love we chase for only one thing in this World today and that is MONEY and POWER.

GUYS PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO LOVE IF WE LOVE OTHERS THIS WORLD WILL BE A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN.thCAKZRY4E

THE STRANGER

“THE STRANGER”

A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family.

The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.

As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind, he had a special niche.

My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey. But the stranger… he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies. If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future!

He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn’t seem to mind. Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet.

(I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions”, but the stranger never felt obligated to honour them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home – not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our long time visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush. My Dad didn’t permit the liberal use of alcohol but the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis.  He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly, and pipes distinguished.

He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.. I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger.

Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked … And NEVER asked to leave. More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family.

He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents’ den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures.

His name?…. We just call him ‘TV’.

THE FANTASTIC TESTIMONY OF A SOUTH AFRICAN FARMER

WHAT A FANTASTIC TESTIMONY

Philip Jonker, the owner of Weltevrede, one of the famous Cape Wine Estates that was hit by the farm worker protests and uprisings in the last 2 weeks, wrote about his life-threatening experience in the following newsletter…

(Be prepared to be awed)

Some time ago someone asked me what my dream is and I wrote:

To day by day step into the bullring of everyday life where the adrenaline is pumping and blood flowing, to say and do and live to the utmost the full measure of each day. To be filled with enthusiasm, to live inspired, to keep dreaming and to let others dream, to live the freedom that my faith had ushered me into.

This week I can’t use the term ‘everyday life’. Life as we know it in our celestial valley came to a sudden halt. Towers of black smoke spiralled upwards and shots rang through the air – from a distance seeming completely unreal, like you’re watching a movie.

The roads amongst vineyards and orchards were barricaded with burning tires, rocks and chanting people.  Windows of police vehicles were smashed and stoned with rocks. All permanent employees were kept hostage and there is an emotion charged climate of fear and hatred hanging over everything, the lines of worry written on the faces of people. Saddest of all is to see how the children are being wrapped up in lawlessness, partly due to the excitement but also deliberately to keep the police from using rubber bullets. Small children cry out, “Boer, we are going to burn down your farm!”, and another one next to him would cry out, “Do we have Kinderkerk on Sunday?”

Before the troubles started I called a meeting with our farm workers. I reminded them that we are there for them and that we’ll do all we can to keep them safe. I offered them my phone number to call me should anyone be intimidated or threatened. I invited them to come and stay with me in my home if anyone feels unsafe. Little did I know that my phone number would be used so frequently during the next few days, not to ask for help, but to alert me about possible dangers, updating me on own initiative of what they see or over heard. I received between ten and twenty phone calls! I am touched by the deep loyalty and commitment of the Weltevrede workers. Despite huge pressure there was not one who stayed away. They all came to work. When I saw their dedication, but also the fear on their faces, I thanked them and gave them the past two days off for the safety of their homes.  Sadly, the instigators  portrays this as an uprising of farm workers.

On Thursday I received the first phone call that a group of hundreds is on its way to Weltevrede. I quickly went to our farm workers at their homes and warned them so they could lock and stay out of sight. We closed the winery and offices and the management were sent to my home. Everything was deserted except for me waiting. It was so quiet and all I could do was sit and quietly speak to God. I heard them coming long before I could see anything.  Their thundering chants of “Viva!” and “Amandla!” echoed against the hills surrounding Weltevrede. It became louder and louder until eventually the mass of people arrived. I think it is normal to fear at that point when more than five hundred angry, armed and emotionally swept up people come toward you man alone.

But I did not feel an inkling of fear because I wasn’t man alone. I discovered in me, by the grace of God alone, His spirit of love, power and a sound mind. I walked into the dancing and jumping crowd armed with pangas, machetes and clubs (knopkieries). I went up to the leader, looked him in the eye, smiled and shook his hand. Showing respect from a source of powerful humility within caught him by surprise. It was visible on his face, and parts of the crowd started to calm down. The leader asked me to sign a paper to acknowledge their request of R150/day.

This was quite strange as I am not their employer, but as they were only asking for acknowledgement of their request I signed.  The group was still chanting “Viva!” and “Amandla!” So I asked the leader if I could speak to the people which resulted in another look of surprise. He turned around and showed the masses to quiet down. They passed a megaphone to me. It became dead quiet.

This isn’t the kind of unprepared oral they teach you at school. I can’t remember all I said, but I do remember that I spoke hope and encouragement. I looked at them and loved them. I encouraged them not to lose hope and to hang on to the dream. I told them our fight is not against flesh. I told them that we are brothers and sisters and that we should talk, not fight. They asked me what I think of the R150 request. “Personally I wish it could be 250, 350 or a thousand. But it isn’t realistic,” I said. I told them to look around them, to see the standard of the housing we provide, to consider the fact that Weltevrede pays on average 80% above the minimum wage set by government and has never failed upping that annually. But still I admitted there is still much to change, I admitted that there is always room for improvement, but we need to build together to sustain the economy of our valley and the realisation of that dream. “Let’s not break down,” I said, while in the corner of my eye I saw smoke coming from one of my Chardonnay vineyards. “We have to build,” I continued.

We have a choice to be negative or positive, despite our circumstances. The words we speak can spark destruction or it can spark life. I told them I know their conditions and we all need to work hand in hand, step by step, to bring change. But we also need to be patient. Change doesn’t come overnight. And the “Viva!” and “Amandla!” was exchanged for shouts of “Amen!” People from the crowd came pressing up against me, all wanting to shake my hand. One man came up to me and said, “I shake your hand, Mr.  Jonker, not because of what you just said, but for what you do in the community.” I couldn’t think of what he refers to.

Maybe it is Kinderkerk? Maybe it is simply the spirit in me they sensed, as people do sense attitude. Maybe it is the fact that God prompted me several years ago to walk the dusty roads of the local squatter camp and engage with cast out people, to sit in the dust and to tell them that Jesus came with good news to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty for captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty the oppressed, to proclaim a new day.

This morning Lindizwe sent me this Scripture. It has helped me navigate my way forward. Proverbs 29: 7,8: “The righteous considers the cause of the poor, but the wicked does not understands such knowledge. Scoffers set a city aflame, but wise men turn away wrath.” This is not a time to show force, but powerful humility.

The last wishes of Alexander the Great:

alexander

The last wishes of Alexander the Great:

On his death bed, Alexander summoned his generals and told them his three ultimate wishes:

1. The best doctors should carry his coffin;
2. The wealth he has accumulated (money, gold, precious stones…) should be scattered along the procession to the cemetery, and
3. His hands should be let loose, hanging outside the coffin for all to see!!

One of his general who was surprised by these unusual requests asked Alexander to explain.

Here is what Alexander the Great had to say:

1. I want the best doctors to carry my coffin to demonstrate that, in the face of death, even the best doctors in the world have no power to heal;

2. I want the road to be covered with my treasure so that everybody sees that material wealth acquired on earth, stays on earth…

3.   And, about my third wish of having my hands dangling out of the  coffin, I wish people to know that I came empty handed into this world  and empty handed I go out of this world.”

SORRY TO ALL THE LADY GAGA FANS BUT IF THIS IS TRUE I FEEL STRONG ABOUT IT

PASSED ON TO ME BY A FRIEND:

Sorry to all the Lady Gaga fans and friends on here I am a strong believer and if this is true I am totally against it so if you want to be cross with me about this I understand.

The illuminati are basically the true rulers of this world. They control everything and will continue to do so. They’re known to have 12 members known as the Global Elite. They control and manipulate our music, knowledge, school, health, jobs, and nation. Whatever they say goes. They are in fact known to be extremely rich, which is mostly why they are able to control this world. Its official that Lady Gaga is arriving in this coming week. Churches and individuals has fought this and not many tickets were sold as she planned would be. Discovering this Lady Gaga has decided to give tickets for free for anybody to attend. We ask why? Let me tell u why, she has not come to perform to her sick fans she came to get souls for her husband the devil. At her last concert in London before the concert Lady gaga was caught bathing in blood and if that does not disturb you she was interviewed about coming to SA and she stated that “My spirit in South Africa would be something no one has ever accomplished, I can’t wait to do what I have been called to do” This woman is really sick and she has come to kill and destroy. She is from the pit of hell. Children of God its not to late, we can still win this battle by not attending the concert so plzzzz pass this on and make other people aware. Let us stand together and show these devil worshippers that nothing can separate us from the love of GOD! JESUS RULES!!!!

THE WAR IS RAGING

Who will set us free from our bodies characterized by spiritual death? And why – why don’t we live the Kingdom life that God has given us so freely? We see that lives crumble, people fight and that anger rule in the hearts of man – but why?

We are so full of the seeds of corruption which remain hidden in our souls. This gives Satan the right to sink his hooks into us, causing great confusion. Satan uses lies about our identity and our situations to keep us locked up and sealed in. The truth is that most of us believe his lies – above the truth of God’s Word and what God says about you. There are issues in our souls that Yeshua desire to address, but are unable to, because of all the carnal thrones still within us – that are not subjected to His dominion. These are still under the control of the enemy.

Each of these thrones represents a compartment of our individual lives that are build-up out of our mind, will and emotions. From these parts within us, our actions, expressions and meditations are governed according to the original design of Heaven. Each area was intended to be subjected to the Lordship of Yeshua. However, because of the fallen nature of man, we gave some of these thrones over to the authority of the spirit of this world. Where everything is all about myself, my plans, my dreams – I just need to be happy and I will fight till I am happy – or till you please me!

Rom 12:2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

As we submit ourselves totally to the dominion and ruler ship of God and His perfect will for our lives, His Spirit will take dominion and occupy all our thrones. Many times it asks of you to become still in your heart and to allow Holy Spirit to show you what is going on in those areas of your soul were you don’t get breakthrough. Then be honest with yourself and with God. Bring it to Him, talk to Him about it, tell Him even the lies that you believe about yourself – and then as you wait on Him – allow Holy Spirit to shine His Glory Light on that lie, that pain, that rejection , that anger – ask Him to show you the truth. Only the ‘truth’ can set us free!

The truth is – it is not always the way we want it!!!!!!!!!!

If you don’t submit every area of your being to Yeshua, you will live in confusion. You will continue to believe the lies of Satan – that your husband is not good enough for you, that you deserve more, that you need to have what others have, that it is not fair – how can you forgive? Satan will go on like this, endlessly, just to take your focus of Yeshua and His perfect plan for your life. Satan’s lies are quieted as the process of sanctification continues within you. As you apply the blood of the Lamb, through repentance, the thrones of your soul can be occupied by Yeshua and come under His ruler ship. Complete union comes from Him and within Him and then we can start to live His Kingdom here on earth. The reality is that we are veiled, our faces are covered with pride and self, and so we cannot see who is really in control of our souls. This is what stands in the way of our fellowship with Yeshua our King.

Gal 5:19- 21Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, fractions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Don’t be fooled, you will only have perfect peace when your soul is occupied by Yeshua and His Holy Spirit. Not by having the dream house, in the right neighbourhood, the perfect wife or husband, the perfect salary or healthy children. No, you can even leave South Africa to go where ever. If His peace doesn’t go with you – you will remain lost and empty.

I have learned one of the greatest lessons of my life, and that is, to be in His perfect will for my life. This brings the most perfect peace to my heart. I don’t need to have what you have, drive what you drive, know what you know – I just want to be exactly who Yeshua created me to be.“Alfreda, whatever you do, just do your best, and enjoy every moment, if not – it was a waist. I gave you life to enjoy with Me. And even if some days are grey – colour them with My joy within you. That is your strength. Christ in me – the hope of glory.”

Let us get to a place of peace and love inside of ourselves. Stop blaming everyone for your misery. We all are going through different kinds of trials. Maybe yours are poverty, sickness or your marriage – whatever your situation– start within yourself! Go and look who is in charge of the thrones of your soul – and if at this stage you are washing floors, wash them for the King! If you are called to bless and serve your family – do it for the King! If you work hard and are in the corporate world enjoy and do it for the King. Let us all be who He has created us to be!

I want to scream to the world – STOP – it is not every one else that need to change – it is you! Don’t wait for your miracle – GO – and be the miracle, enjoy what is on your plate today!!!!!

Celebrate life, I bless you with Yeshua’s love and favour upon your life.

STAND STILL AND THINK

The three most common words heard among Christians in times of crisis are: “Lord, do something!” It is against our nature to stand still and do nothing when we face perplexing trials. In fact, waiting patiently for God to act is probably the most difficult thing about the Christian walk. Even devoted believers panic when the Lord does not move according to their timetable.

We constantly give God deadlines and time limits. We cry, “Lord, when are You going to do something about this? If You don’t act now, it will be too late!” But God is never too late. He always acts according to His schedule, not ours.

Our God is always searching the earth for those who will trust Him in every crisis, trial and hopeless situation. Indeed, He often leads us into situations that are critical and difficult in order to test us.

He wants to see if we are willing to stand still and wait for Him to bring supernatural deliverance.

The Bible states very clearly: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way” (Psalm 37:23). The Hebrew word for ordered here means “prearranged, step by step, fixed, ordained by God.”

This means it is God, not the devil, who leads us into difficult places. We may cry, “Lord, why are You allowing my crisis to continue?” But the truth is, not only does He allow our trial, but He does so deliberately – for a purpose. And that is hard for us to accept.

God allows these hard things in our lives in order to produce faith in us. He is shaping us into godly examples of faith, to be His testimony to a faithless, ungodly age.

I firmly believe every step I take is ordained by our heavenly Father and He would never lead me to the brink of a difficult situation only to abandon me. He would not say, “Okay, Alfreda, I’ve directed you up to this point. Now you’re on your own.”

No! God is absolutely faithful to His children, in every crisis. He is always asking us, “Will you be one I’ve been searching for, one who will not panic, who will not charge Me with forsaking, abandoning and hurting My children? Will you stand still in your crisis and trust Me to see you through?”
